Natalie Berman

What are you looking forward to this service term?
I'm really looking forward to working with students to improve their lives, and to provide reliable and medically sound information regarding their health and their bodies. I am also excited to work with individuals who are as passionate about equitable health care as I am.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
After my year of service I plan to start a graduate program and get my Masters in Public Health. From there I would like to work for either a local public health agency, or a global health organization.

I'm interested in learning about...
I am interested in health disparities in the different areas of Chicago. Its neighborhoods are still segregated to some degree, and I would be interested to learn how socioeconomic status and the area people grow up in affect their health, and contribute to certain diseases.
